Shampoo: Use a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo to protect the color and integrity of the hair.
Conditioner: Apply conditioner only to the mid-lengths and ends. Avoid the roots to prevent slippage or buildup near the bonds.
Water Temperature: Use lukewarm water — hot water can weaken the adhesive or bonds.
✨ Drying & Styling
- Drying: Gently blot (don’t rub) your hair with a towel to avoid tangling.
- Heat Tools: Use heat sparingly. Always apply a heat protectant and keep tools on low–medium settings.
- Brushing: Use an extension-safe brush or wide-tooth comb. Start at the ends and work up to prevent pulling.
- Air-Drying: Best option for longevity. If blow-drying, use the lowest heat setting.
✨ Sleeping with Extensions
- Before Bed: Brush your hair to remove tangles.
- Protective Style: Sleep with your hair in a loose braid or ponytail to reduce friction.
- Pillowcase: Switch to a silk or satin pillowcase to protect the hair cuticle and keep extensions smooth.
✨ Avoid Oils & Alcohol-Based Products
- Hair Products: Avoid products containing alcohol, excessive oils, or harsh ingredients.
- These can dry out extensions, weaken bonds, and cause tangling.
✨ Regular Maintenance
- Move-Ups: Schedule maintenance every 6–8 weeks to tighten, reposition, or adjust extensions.
- Gentle Handling: Avoid pulling or tugging on the hair — this can loosen or damage the bonds.
✨ Swimming & Sun Exposure
- Chlorine & Saltwater: Wear a swim cap, or keep hair tied up when swimming. Salt and chlorine dry out both natural hair and extensions.
- Sun Care: Use a UV protectant spray when spending time in direct sun to prevent dryness and color fading.
